ABOUT FIVE CROWN ELITE DANCE

Our elite teams will experience a unique blend of dance team, studio dance and pre-professional experiences ranging from USASF regulated dance team competitions to in-house professional master classes, conventions and both professional and collegiate sporting event performances. We believe that when dancers are exposed to multiple avenues of performance opportunities they are best prepared for future auditions both at the collegiate and professional level.
Our season kicks off June 2025 and continues throughout the summer of 2025.
Dancers must be 5+ and have previous dance experience. Dancers can expect to rehearse 2-3x per week with exclusive team technique and conditioning being top priority in addition to learning multiple styles of choreography including hip-hop, jazz/contemporary, pom and acrobatics. Dancers who show a dedication to technical training may be invited to participate in solos, duos/trios and/or small groups.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What makes our team unique?
Many dancers feel that they need to choose between a traditional dance team training and studio training. We offer the best of both worlds with a “student centered” approach to education in an effort to fully prepare dancers for a future in dance.
What are we looking for?
Dancers that get excited about learning new styles, training from a multitude of professionals and love to perform. Dancers are expected to be role models and ambassadors to living a healthy lifestyle. Exemplary behavior and respect to oneself, teammates, coaches and parents is expected from both dancers and parents.
What makes our training unique?
Our head coach is not only a former professional dancer for 12 years, but is also highly educated with a multitude of certifications and degrees that extend far beyond that of most of her peers, making her the perfect resource and mentor for dancers who hope for a long-term success in the field of dance. Our rehearsal schedule includes built in technique and conditioning repertoire exclusive to the team.
What is your attendance policy?
We pride ourselves in communication and thus we expect that parents and dancers will be aware of upcoming events and rehearsals and understand that they will be expected to attend everything that is scheduled, except in the case of illness or emergency. We will allow for pre-scheduled and communicated family vacations and events and plan for short breaks in rehearsals around most major holidays.
Can you be a part of another team, sport or or studio and participate on the elite team?
Technically speaking, yes. However, competitive dancers would need to prioritize rehearsals and all events and will NOT be cleared to miss any rehearsal, event or team activity due to an extracurricular activity, game or otherwise which would likely result in termination from the team.
What will the rehearsal schedule be?
Rehearsal schedule specifications will not be determined until after try-outs.
